Mozambique – Welcome to paradise!

Thanks, Sharon! Wonderful rendering of that iconic sign and love the information about the artist. And, thank YOU for creating your legacy; it touches the heart of so many people. Thanks, Mary!

Words and all! I could see a lot of people wanting a copy of this one. I have never been to Las Vegas, nor have I ever wanted to.

About This Content

I went to Reno a million years ago. I am an unlucky person so I guess I would lose my shirt in Vegas. Thanks so much, Lori! I think my luck comes in other ways! It certainly takes the breath away.

Welcome to Paradise

Thanks, Jacob! Your note that Betty never copyrighted the design provides a lesson to us all, that sometimes art can be a true gift for all from an artist driven to create. Thanks so much, Bob! Thanks so much, Sarah!

If we create for any other reason, it would become rather tough to create at times. I liked your rendering to the sign. To me, it look liked something the chamber of commerce came with on shoe-string budget. Like most folks, I was under the impression that the strip and the sign were part of Las Vegas and not a small town called Paradise. Thanks for that bit of Americana history. Blue Lagoon Resort Goa – Welcome to Paradise

Here are some of our favourite picnic spots! Hundred Acres — a lovely lush rainforest with a wonderful walking track out to the cliff top with views back toward the Kingston area. Here you will be able to find a private and tranquil spot to lay out your picnic blanket, and amongst the flora and fauna, feel like you really are the only people on earth. Salt House — a beautiful spot under some shady Norfolk Island pines.

Picnic tables available and lovely grassy areas to enjoy. You can safely leave your belongings and picnic food in your chosen spot as you enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach or perhaps take a relaxing dip in the sea. Puppies Point — this is THE place to be for sunset. A long stretch of cliff top that offers both picnic tables and grassed areas to sit and look out to sea. Facilities also available. Captain Cook — this is by far one of our favourites! This area is the landing spot of Captain James Cook, marked by a monument on this site.

There are plenty of picnic tables, grassy areas to sit, but most importantly it has views for days! There are great viewing platforms, so pack the camera, and it has some great coastal walking tracks to work off that picnic lunch.
